Consider creating a Content Calendar to help you stay on track and get serious about your “Content Containers”.
What are Content Containers?
Content Containers are the various “platforms” you use to hold the content that you want to share with others. The more Content containers you have, the more you have to do and the longer it will take you to do it. If your Content Containers are not consistently refilled and refreshed, your business can appear to be unprofessional and mis-managed. And who wants to deal with an unprofessional looking service provider? Keep those Content Containers working for you!
Using a schedule can help you to keep it fresh. If you have the budget to hire someone to fill and refresh your Content Containers ...that's great! If you are doing the job yourself ...find ways to keep it fresh and professional! Get the right system and use the right tools.
Everything works better with a system in place. Tools that help you work smarter and leverage your time for productivity. Use your time doing what you were born to do...taking care of your clients and customers!
If you are not currently in the arena to hire someone to do your marketing there are dozens, okay, hundreds...OKAY, THOUSANDS of systems and tools that claim they can do the job for you. Pick the right system and tools. Soon you'll be moving in the right direction.
Okay, now that you have your content “containers” outlined, how often should you be publishing content? No frequency works best for every company, organization or brand ....so like everything worthwhile, you have to experiment.
Facebook: 1-3 times per day
Twitter: 2-10 times per day
Pinterest: 1-3 times per day
Google +: 1-2 times per day
Instagram: 4-7 times per week
YouTube: Weekly or more often if you can
If you have other “containers” then, research the best frequencies and follow a consistent schedule.
Others tips you can use to plan out the frequency of your content.
Use your system and tools to stagger your posts so your content stays fresh and varied. All self-serving posts should be interlaced with posts that deliver amazing value. Experiment. With time, you’ll figure out the frequency that works best for you.
