What is Adopt Our App (AOA)??
Adopt Our App is a program to help nonprofits with mobile apps (Hosted with DonPaul Enterprises) to find sponsors and donors to pay for their app.
How does the program work?
Quite simply AOA it is a marketing plan, designed to help nonprofits sell monthly ad space inside their mobile app to businesses and individuals.
What does my nonprofit need to do to participate in AOA?
Your nonprofit sets up donation buttons and we install the buttons on a special Web page where your donors can order advertisement space in your app. All payments will come directly to your organization.
What can my nonprofit do to make the AOA program more successful?
Here are some simple actions your nonprofit organization can take to get great results with the AOA program.
1 - Your nonprofit members should familiarize themselves with how the AOA program works. Read the FAQs for the Organization and Read the Business Owner's FAQs
2 - Your nonprofit members should “buy-in-to” the idea of AOA. If your members do not actively participate in selling advertisement space in your app….then the program will not be as successful as it could be.
Leaders in the nonprofit should encourage feedback from members who are not participating. DonPaul Enterprises will assist leaders in answering questions.
3 - Members of your nonprofit should download the app and be familiar with how the app is structured. They should let business owners know about the program; especially business owners who belong to Chambers and other business groups.
4 - Your nonprofit should have a Web page or an on-line page to parallel with the app encourage back-and-forth traffic…this will increase downloads, Web traffic and visibility.
5 - Your nonprofit members should actively seek permission to send email to the business owner. We will send a follow-up letter to the business on behalf of the nonprofit. Your nonprofit members should SHARE the professionally made banners and scripts on social and business networks . All of the banners are made available on the network drive of your nonprofit. Just search on AOA. Remember sharing the banner without the link to the payment page is a waste of time and energy …and possibly the loss of a sale.
6 - Your nonprofit members should remind business owners that donations are tax deductible and that all monies go directly to nonprofit organization.
7 - Last but not least, when a new business purchases (especially a recurring) ad, your nonprofit members should share the good news across their networks . We will notify you when an ad is published in the app and you’ll find congratulation scripts on the network drive of your nonprofit.
What sort of ads can I run inside my app?
There is no specific quantity of ads, however you only need a couple of recurring sponsors. We will help your organization plan ad campaigns that will not affect the performance of your app.
We recommend that you start by working with local businesses. We’ll work with you on contacting the most appropriate donors, however you’ll have total freedom.
How much will AOA cost our organization?
That depends on who does the work. Your mobile app is DIY (Do It Yourself). All of the ads can be placed inside the app by you. We’d just guide you (at no fee) to be sure your app stays professional and remains with Apple Guidelines. Basically, for the FIRST $50 ad, DPE will charge the organization no fee. Additional $50 clients will cost $10 per month For $20, one-time clients the organization will pay DPE $20 for every 5 ads. If your organization does not have the skills or desire to create ads, we will invoice you these nominal fees. Our goal is to help you pay your fees and thrive.
What geographical area will you promote to on behalf of our organization?
We recommend starting with businesses in your community, within a 10 mile radius of your zip code. That way you can stop by and reinforce your appeal to gain donors for your app.
How does DPE find donors for AOA?
We do not "Find" donors. We help your non-profit use the most logical audience that's naturally interested in your organization. We have a list of simple actions your nonprofit can take to find businesses that will purchase ad space.
